WHAT IS A CO-OPERATIVE NURSERY SCHOOL?
A
co-operative nursery school can be described as a non-profit organization of
parents who are committed to providing and maintaining a nursery school for
their children. Parent effort and participation allows for more affordable
tuition; therefore, more parents are able to provide their children with
preschool experience.
A co-operative nursery school creates an environment in which parents and
teachers work together to provide the highest quality early childhood
education. In keeping with the co-operative nature of our school, you, as the
parent, are encouraged to become actively involved in your child's education.
By helping out in the classroom, or on field trips, through participating on
committees, or perhaps joining the Executive Board, you will be showing your
child that you are interested in his/her education. At the same time, your
child will take pleasure in having you at school. This partnership between you,
your child and his/her school will help to ensure your child's success at
learning.
